WALLS OF PRIDE PACKAGE OPTIONS

Walls Pride is a RedCielo Initiative that uses murals and community art projects as forms of outreach. We work closely with a variety of organizations to offer their youth, adults and elders a chance to express their voice. Walls of Pride can follow several formats:

2 - 4 Day Workshop

Our 2 - 4 day workshops are used to create a strong impact over a short period of time. These workshops include several hours of quick and dynamic dialogue, creating a fast paced brainstorming session. Our dialogue is then used to create a group art project over a short period of time.

 

5 - 7 Day Workshop

Our 5 - 7 day workshop allows for the integration of multi-media programming, intergenerational conversations, and long-term goal setting.  Our participants are part of a longer discussion that allows them to truly consider short-term and long-term planning as part of their creative process. This process culminates in a work of art that offers long-term reflection and key benchmarks for community development.

Long Term Mural Program/ Artist Residency

Our 8-12 week mural program can incorporate research proven curriculum along with conversations about identity, culture, race, gender, and community. This program allows participants to gain a sense of pride and belonging as they build a strong familial relationship with each other. Over the course of this program participants begin to recognize the value they have in each other's lives. The final project for this workshop is a mural that reflects the collective journey of the group.
